Dan Song

Dr. Dan Song is a Hermann Staudinger Fellow at the University of Freiburg's Cluster of Excellence livMatS (FIT). Her research develops novel material systems for maskless lithography and 3D printing, creating functional microstructures and biocompatible scaffolds.

She pioneered CH-insertion crosslinking techniques for substrate-independent patterning and multi-material fabrication. Applications include humidity-responsive surfaces and 3D cell culture platforms with precise geometric control and biocompatibility.

Her work with Prof. Jürgen Rühe has produced microstructured functional skins and multi-component scaffolds through digital light processing and direct laser writing technologies.
