Dan Rogers

Professor Dan Rogers is an Associate Professor and Associate Head of Department (Infrastructure) in the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford. He holds a MEng (2007) and PhD (2011) from Imperial College London's Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department and Control and Power Group, respectively. Prior to Oxford, he served as a Lecturer and Senior Lecturer at Cardiff University's School of Engineering. His research focuses on electrical power systems, energy storage, and smart grid technologies.

Research Interests: Professor Rogers specializes in advancing power electronics and grid infrastructure. Recent collaborations include DPhil student-led projects on creative gameplay design leveraging AI, reflecting interdisciplinary engagement.

Advising & Events: Supervises DPhil students contributing to cutting-edge research (e.g., AI for creative gameplay design). Led the IMAD2025 event with the ZERO Institute ECR network, highlighting his role in fostering academic-industry partnerships.
