Dan Lee is a Lecturer and Lifelong Learning and Outreach Archaeologist at the Archaeology Institute of the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI), based in Orkney. His role involves managing community archaeology projects, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules, and developing outreach initiatives. He holds a First Class Honours degree in Archaeological Science from the University of Sheffield (2000) and an MA in Archaeological Practice with distinction from UHI (2008).

He has led initiatives such as Map Orkney Month and the Hoy and South Walls Landscape Project, emphasizing community engagement and creative methodologies.
Recent work includes energy archaeology studies, industrial heritage documentation, and participatory mapping projects. He actively contributes to conferences and publications, blending archaeological practice with innovative outreach strategies.
