Dan Hampton

Dan Hampton serves as a Lecturer in the Department of HVAC Technology, Plumbing and Heating within the School of Construction and Architecture at Pennsylvania College of Technology, a position he has held since 2022. Previously, he was an Instructor at YTI Career Institute from 2007 to 2013.

His educational background includes an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) in HVAC Technology from Pennsylvania College of Technology (1999), and he is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Management at the same institution.

Mr. Hampton's expertise spans the full lifecycle of HVAC systems, with specialized knowledge in residential, commercial, and industrial applications. His teaching focuses on practical implementation of refrigeration principles, energy-efficient heating solutions, and plumbing integration within building systems. Industry certifications inform his curriculum development, emphasizing real-world technical standards and safety protocols.

Professional experience includes 15+ years managing HVAC companies, designing systems, and serving as a technical representative for major manufacturers like Lennox and LG. This industry immersion directly shapes his instructional approach and student competency development.

As an educator, Mr. Hampton prepares students for NATE certification and manufacturer-specific credentials through hands-on training in system installation, diagnostics, and optimization. His industry partnerships provide students with direct exposure to current equipment and service methodologies.
