Mr. Dan Dickens is a Clinical Skills Tutor at the Peninsula Medical School (Faculty of Health), University of Plymouth. He specializes in designing, teaching, and assessing clinical skills, patient examinations, and simulated scenarios for medical and allied health professions students, including doctors, dentists, and physician associates. His expertise spans emergency care, pre-hospital clinical practice, and remote patient assessment.
Education & Qualifications:
- PGCert in Clinical Education
- BSc (Hons) in a relevant field
Research & Experience: Dickens has extensive experience supervising student doctors and paramedics in clinical settings, including NHS and private ambulance services. He has worked in Urgent Treatment Centres, pre-hospital care in Saudi Arabia, and has rudimentary experience in Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS). His training includes paramedic practice and remote clinical assessment via telephone.
