Damion Gustafson is an Assistant Technical Professor of Welding Technology at Colorado Mesa University's Bishop Campus. A graduate of the institution (AAS, Manufacturing Technology-Welding, 2004), he transitioned to academia after 20+ years in industry as a welder, fabricator, and business owner.
His expertise spans:
- Structural welding and machinery fabrication
- Custom/ornamental metalwork
- Oxy-fuel systems and plasma cutting
- Gas metal/tungsten arc welding techniques
Outside academia, he enjoys outdoor activities (boating, hiking, skiing) and custom fabrication projects.
