Damian Weber

Damian Weber is a Professor at the Faculty of Engineering of Saarland University of Applied Sciences. He specializes in Cryptography and IT Security, with a focus on computational number theory and cryptographic protocols. Currently teaching Security Engineering and Cryptography Engineering modules, he maintains an active role in academic administration as Dean of Studies.

His research spans discrete logarithms, number field sieve, elliptic curve cryptosystems, and authenticated encryption. Publications demonstrate sustained contributions to cryptanalysis and cryptographic algorithm design since the mid-1990s.
