معرفی
Dr. Damia Mawad is a Lecturer at the School of Materials Science and Engineering at UNSW Australia, appointed in August 2015. Her research focuses on polymeric bioelectronics applied in tissue engineering, with expertise in enhancing the electronic stability of conducting polymers, 3D electroactive scaffolds, and photo-thermal therapy. She previously worked as a Research Fellow at the Intelligent Polymer Research Institute (IPRI), University of Wollongong, from 2008 to 2012.
Research Interests
Dr. Mawad's work centers on biomedical engineering and polymer science, particularly in developing conductive polymers for tissue regeneration. Key projects include creating 3D electroactive scaffolds for cardiac regeneration, bio-stable conjugated systems for electro-responsive tissues, and conjugated nanoparticles for on-demand drug delivery. Her research leverages functional materials to address challenges in biomaterials and medical device development.
