Damián Monllor Satoca

Damián Monllor Satoca is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Chemistry at the University of Alicante's Faculty of Sciences, where he has been affiliated since 2019. He serves as Secretary of the University Institute of Electrochemistry and is a core member of the Semiconductor Photochemistry and Electrochemistry Research Group (GFES).

He specializes in synthesizing and characterizing semiconductor nanomaterials for energy conversion and pollution treatment applications.

His publication record shows consistent high-impact work in photoelectrocatalysis, with recent emphasis on solar fuel production and mechanistic understanding of semiconductor interfaces. Key themes include water oxidation catalysts, hydrogen production coupled with pollutant degradation, and kinetic modeling of photocatalytic processes.
