Dalibor Karvay

Dalibor Karvay is a Slovak violinist and Professor at the Munich University of Music and Performing Arts since 2014. A child prodigy who began violin at age three, he has performed globally with orchestras like the Vienna Symphony Orchestra (First Concertmaster since 2020) and collaborated with conductors such as Leif Segerstam and Marek Janowski. His artistic journey includes recordings for Slovak Radio and a 2004 documentary Stradivari - Search for Perfection.

His research and performance focus spans classical violin repertoire, chamber music collaborations with artists like Radek Baborák and Julian Rachlin, and exploration of historical performance practices. Karvay's work bridges technical precision with emotional depth, exemplified by his performances at Windsor Castle (2003) and for Pope John Paul II.
