Dale Burns serves as a Lecturer and Laboratory Manager for the Microchemical Analysis Facility (MAF) at Stanford University's Doerr School of Sustainability, with additional roles as Treasurer of the Microanalysis Society and technical director for the National Nanotechnology Coordinated Infrastructure (NNCI) program. He holds a courtesy faculty appointment at Oregon State University.
