Dagmara Malina

Dagmara Malina is a Lecturer at the Department of Chemical Technology and Environmental Analytics (C-1) within the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology at Tadeusz Kościuszko Cracow University of Technology. She holds a Ph.D. in Technical Sciences (Chemical Technology) from the same university (2014), following a Biotechnology MSc from the Hugo Kołłątaj University of Agriculture in Krakow (2009) and postgraduate studies in Biomaterials at AGH University of Science and Technology (2010).

Her research focuses on the application of nanotechnology in biomaterials and environmental contexts, with a strong interdisciplinary approach combining chemical technology, biochemistry, and industrial biotechnology. Key research areas include:

• Development of ceramic-polymer composites for medical applications
• Bioactive calcium phosphate composites modified with gold nanoparticles
• Use of metallic nanoparticles in agrochemical preparations
• Protein adsorption studies on polymeric carriers
• Hydrogel materials for psoriasis treatment

She has received multiple awards, including the prestigious Rector's Award for young scientific authorship in 2011 and the Krakow City Scholarship for talented students and doctoral candidates in 2012. Her scientific career has included research internships at the Jerzy Haber Institute of Catalysis and Surface Chemistry (Poland, 2012) and the Slovak Academy of Sciences (Institute of Geotechnics) (Slovakia, 2012).
