Dag Lindström is a Professor at the Department of History, Uppsala University. His research focuses on early modern urban social and cultural history, with a particular emphasis on crime, violence, and household structures in Swedish towns from 1600-1850. He is the Principal Investigator for the project Houses and Social Practices in Swedish Towns, 1600-1850.

Current publications (2024-2025) examine architectural heritage in Linköping, family cohabitation in 18th-century Sweden, and property ownership trends. Earlier works (2020-2023) analyze homicide cycles, widows' economic roles, and urban order in Sweden.
