Daekiara Smith-Ireland serves as the Clinical Research Manager at Life University’s Center for Chiropractic Research (CCR). She holds a B.S. in Biology from Clark Atlanta University, a Master of Public Health from Mercer University (2022), and a Ph.D. in Social Epidemiology from Mercer (2025). Her research focuses on sleep, mental health, COPD, and disease burden in underserved populations, emphasizing environmental and policy impacts. At Life U, she leads projects integrating holistic wellness with community-focused research, including brain-body studies, chiropractic adjustment efficacy, and obesity-related health outcomes.
