Dabo Guan

Dabo Guan is a Professor in Climate Change Economics and the Low Carbon Transition at the The Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction, University College London. He also holds a Distinguished Professor position at Tsinghua University's Department of Earth System Science. His expertise spans ecological economics, emission accounting, and input-output modeling for climate policy applications.

His research interests focus on climate change mitigation strategies, carbon footprint analysis, and sustainable resource management. His work on climate change and beer drought earned the Altmetric Top 100 award in 2018.

As a Highly Cited Researcher (2018-2022), he leads international consortium projects funded by the Natural Science Foundation of China, Ministry of Science and Technology, and Newton Fund. He teaches courses on Global Challenges in Human-Infrastructure Environmental Interactions, Input-Output Analysis, and Carbon Accounting at UCL.
