Dabir Ahmed is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Brunel Business School, Brunel University, College of Business, Arts and Social Sciences. He teaches Financial Reporting, Management Accounting, and Taxation modules, including MG3027 Taxation and MG2529 Management Accounting. His research focuses on UK taxation, housing policy, and e-learning in accounting education.
Before moving to the UK, he graduated as a Textile Engineer in Bangladesh and worked for four years in textile manufacturing as a Production Manager. Since 2008, he has gained extensive experience in accounting and finance across education, retail, catering, and e-commerce industries. He currently works as a business consultant at Ultimate Accounting and Tax Solutions, advising on financial compliance, cost management, and SME growth.
His professional qualifications include B.Sc(Hons), B.Sc(Tech), Fellow of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), Chartered Public Finance and Accountancy (CPFA), Fellow of Advance HE (FHEA), and PRINCE2 certification. He is an external examiner for the University of Greenwich's accounting and finance programs and the treasurer of Dalit Solidarity Network (DSN-UK).
