DaShaunda Patterson serves as the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Learning Sciences at Georgia State University's College of Education & Human Development (CEHD). Her roles include advancing faculty development, promoting diversity initiatives, mentoring programs, and fostering school-community partnerships. She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Florida A&M University and advanced degrees (M.Ed., Ph.D.) in Special Education from Georgia State University.
Her research focuses on special educator preparation, behavior interventions, culturally relevant pedagogy, and systemic educational equity. She has led multiple Teacher Quality Partnership grants and co-authored works on inclusive education strategies, teacher residencies, and stress-reduction programs for educators.
