DELGADO GOMEZ, DAVID

Dr. David Delgado Gómez is a Full Professor in the Department of Statistics at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, where he serves as Director of the Doctoral Program in Statistics for Data Science. He leads the Statistical Data Science Group (SDS) and is affiliated with the UC3M-Santander Big Data Institute.

Research Focus: His work bridges Bayesian inference, Monte Carlo methods, and mental health diagnostics, particularly in ADHD assessment and suicide risk prediction using machine learning and virtual reality. He develops computerized adaptive tests for behavioral analysis and contributes to gamified learning environments for statistical education.

Recent Publications highlight his methodological innovations in importance sampling (pyLAIS package), thermodynamic integration, and ADHD diagnostic tools using motion tracking and game-based data. His research spans computational statistics, psychiatric epidemiology, and public health applications.
