D. Tsoumakos

D. Tsoumakos is an Associate Professor of Big Data Management Systems at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He serves as Director of the Knowledge and Database Systems Laboratory (DBLab) and holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Computer Sciences from the University of Maryland (2006, 2002), with a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NTUA (1999).

• Research Interests: Large-scale distributed systems, Big Data management, algorithmic optimization, cloud computing elasticity, resource scheduling.
