Célia Baroux

Dr. Célia Baroux is a Lecturer and Group Leader in the Department of Plant and Microbial Biology at the University of Zürich's Faculty of Science. She leads research on chromatin dynamics, nuclear organization, and epigenetic regulation in plants, with particular focus on H1 linker histones and their role in plant development and reproduction.

Her research interests span chromatin architecture, nuclear organization, plant epigenetics, and developmental biology. Dr. Baroux investigates how three-dimensional genome organization influences gene expression during plant development, particularly in reproductive tissues and seed formation. Her work bridges molecular genetics, advanced microscopy, and computational analysis to understand fundamental mechanisms of nuclear architecture in plants.
