Dr. Cécile Chevalier is an Associate Professor in Media Practice at the University of Sussex's School of Media, Arts and Humanities. Her research explores human augmentation through digital technologies, focusing on creativity, body politics, and transmodality. She co-founded the Feminist Approaches to Computational Technology Network and the Full Stack Feminism initiative, and chairs the University of Sussex Neurodiversity Staff Network. Her work bridges Fine Art, Digital Humanities, and intersectional feminism, emphasizing ethical, human-centered technological innovation.
Educational background includes Fine Art, Crafts & Design, and Digital Humanities Studies. Her research spans digital cultures, neurodiversity, and sensory processes, with notable projects like the Full Stack Feminism Archive and collaborative work on ethical frameworks for music technology (NIME Principles).
