Cyrus Khandanpour

Prof. Dr. med. Cyrus Khandanpour is a full Professor for Translational Cancer Research and serves as Deputy Director and Senior Consultant at the Department of Hematology and Oncology at the University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH), Lübeck campus, affiliated with the University of Lübeck. He is also the Executive Director of the University Cancer Center Schleswig-Holstein (UCCSH), where he leads initiatives in precision medicine and translational oncology. His work bridges clinical care and research, focusing on molecular mechanisms of cancer and innovative diagnostics.

The focus of his research lies in improving the molecular understanding of tumor diseases, particularly through liquid biopsy and circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) analysis.
