معرفی
Cyrille François is a Lecturer (MER 1) at the School of French as a Foreign Language at the University of Lausanne (UNIL), a position he has held since 2018. He has been affiliated with UNIL since 2004, starting as a graduate assistant, and is actively involved in teaching and research in French as a Foreign Language, with a focus on linguistics, literature, and language pedagogy.
His research lies at the intersection of linguistics and comparative literature. Key areas include narrative strategies in fairy tales by Perrault, Grimm, and Andersen; the translation and adaptation of literary texts; Nordic literature; and the literary language of proletarian writers. He is currently developing two collaborative research projects: one with HEP (Prof. C. Bemporad) on the use of various media in teaching literature within FLE contexts, and another exploring the stylistic and linguistic features of so-called 'proletarian' writers, potentially leading to interdisciplinary collaborations.
Cyrille François completed his academic training in both Switzerland and France. He holds a bachelor's degree, DEA, and doctorate from the University of Lausanne (UNIL), complemented by study and research stays at the University of Freiburg-im-Breisgau and Lund University. He also earned a bachelor's degree in Foreign Languages, Literatures, and Civilizations (specializing in Swedish) from Paris-Sorbonne University. His doctoral thesis, Les voix des contes. Stratégies narratives et projets discursifs des contes de Perrault, Grimm, and Andersen, was published by PUBP in 2017.
There are no scientific awards, listed publications, or named students in the available information. He is not described as part-time, retired, or deceased, and remains an active faculty member.
His work bridges pedagogical practice and literary scholarship, contributing to both the academic understanding of narrative forms and the practical teaching of French as an international language.
