Cynthia Port is an Associate Professor of English at Coastal Carolina University's School of Humanities since 2007, specializing in modern and contemporary British/Anglophone literature, gender/sexuality theories, and critical aging studies. She holds a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania and contributes to interdisciplinary aging research through editorial and collaborative roles.

Her research interrogates aging and temporal structures in literature, evident in publications in PMLA, Occasion, and Age, Culture, Humanities. Current projects explore intersectional approaches to aging in postcolonial and modernist texts.
