Cynthia Current

Cynthia Current is an Associate Teaching Professor specializing in the intersection of technology and literature. Her research examines knowledge control mechanisms in American literature through the lens of fingerprinting, biotechnology, and information organization in works by authors ranging from Mark Twain to Colson Whitehead.

Affiliated with Health Humanities, Current teaches courses on Race, Health, Narrative and Writing in Health & Medicine. Previously worked in intensive care medicine and medical research editing.
