Cynthia C. Ninivaggi is an Associate Professor and Director of Women’s and Gender Studies at Georgian Court University, affiliated with the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education. She teaches across multiple departments, including Criminal Justice, Anthropology, Sociology, and Human Rights.
- Education: B.A. in Anthropology from University of North Carolina at Greensboro; M.A. in Anthropology from Temple University; Ph.D. in Anthropology from Temple University; M.A. in Applied Behavior Analysis from Georgian Court University.
Research Interests include reproductive justice, gender dynamics in the workplace, race and criminal justice systems, adoption history and reform, urban anthropology, disaster anthropology, and the intersection of medicine and society. Her work spans sociocultural and urban anthropology, critical gender studies, and human rights.
Courses Taught cover topics such as Women and Gender, Women and Work, Cultural Anthropology, Race and Criminal Justice, Physical Anthropology, Native Cultures of North America, and the Anthropology of Disaster.
