Cunjiang Yu is a Founder Professor at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), affiliated with multiple departments including Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Science and Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, and Bioengineering. He holds a part-time faculty position at the Beckman Institute for Science and Technology. His research focuses on soft electronics, bio-integrated devices, and neuromorphic systems. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University (2010) and holds M.S. and B.S. degrees from Southeast University, China. Yu is a founding editor of Soft Science and serves on editorial boards of journals like Bioactive Materials and IEEE Transactions on Nanotechnology. His work integrates materials science, engineering, and biology to develop innovative solutions for healthcare and neuroprosthetics.
