Crystle Alonzo

Crystle Alonzo, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, serves as Assistant Professor in the School of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at San Diego State University and Director of the Comprehension Opportunities in Reading and Language (CORAL) Lab. A certified speech-language pathologist, she specializes in child language and literacy disorders with clinical experience across diverse populations.

Her research advances comprehension models of language and reading to improve assessment and intervention for children with developmental language disorder and dyslexia, emphasizing:
