Crystal Jarrell Johnson is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Voice and Music at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), College of Liberal and Fine Arts, Department of Music. She holds a Bachelor of Music from Abilene Christian University and a Master of Music from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University.
Her research and performance focus spans vocal arts, opera, and chamber music. As an active mezzo-soprano, she specializes in classical repertoire and collaborative performance. Her artistic practice emphasizes Baroque music interpretation and contemporary vocal techniques within ensemble settings.
