Dr. Crystal Eustice serves as an Assistant Professor of Practice, Academic Advisor, and Internship Coordinator in Michigan State University's Department of Community Sustainability, part of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Her roles include teaching sustainability-focused courses such as CSUS 200 and CSUS 474, advising undergraduate students, and coordinating internships for Sustainable Parks, Recreation and Tourism (B.S.) students.
Dr. Eustice holds a Ph.D. in Sustainable Tourism and Protected Area Management from MSU, with a specialization in Ecological Food and Farming Systems, alongside a M.S. in Community, Agriculture, Recreation, and Resource Studies, and a B.S. in Environmental Studies and Agriscience.
Her research interests focus on applied projects in parks management, sustainable tourism practices, food systems resilience, and innovative teaching methodologies. She is affiliated with the Center for Regional Food Systems and the Omo-Turkana Research Network.
Recognized for her educational leadership, Dr. Eustice was featured in MSU's iTeachMSU initiative for her student-centered approaches, blending advising, teaching, and internship coordination to support holistic student development. She actively seeks student feedback to refine her pedagogical strategies.
