Cristina Colangelo

Cristina Colangelo is a Postdoctoral Researcher (Research Fellow) at the Center for Biomedical Imaging (CIBM), University of Geneva, where she joined in April 2025. She is part of the EEG HUG-UNIGE Clinical and Translational Neuroimaging Section and works on the SNSF project "Innovating neurofeedback therapy for ADHD by training real-time brain (micro)states" under Principal Investigator Tomas Ros.

Dr. Colangelo's research spans Neuroscience, Neurobiology, and Clinical Neuroscience with expertise in neuromodulation, EEG, and real-time brain imaging. Her current SNSF-funded work pioneers neurofeedback therapies for ADHD by training brain microstates, building on her doctoral framework for modeling cholinergic effects on cortical microcircuits. She integrates multimodal approaches including 7T MRI and computational modeling.

Outside research, she actively engages in science communication, dance performance, and mental health advocacy.
