Cristina Chaminade is a Professor at CIRCLE and Researcher at the Department of Economic History, both at Lund University. She also holds a Research Professor position at INGENIO (CSIC-UPV) with a postgraduate degree in ecology and conservation from Harvard University. Her work spans over 30 years in regenerative economics, innovation policy, and sustainability transformations, particularly in vulnerable regions like Small Island Development States and coastal ecosystems.
- She directed Lund University’s Master’s program in Innovation and Global Sustainable Development (2016–2022) and has taught economics of innovation, circular economy, and sustainable development across universities in Sweden, Germany, Spain, Brazil, and Vietnam.
- Her research explores how to accelerate sustainability transitions through innovative practices, focusing on the intersection of climate change, biodiversity, and social equity in developing countries.
