Cristina Aragon Amonarriz

Cristina Aragon Amonarriz is an Associate Professor at the Deusto Business School (University of Deusto), located at the Donostia campus. She holds a BA and PhD in Business Administration from the University of Deusto. Her research focuses on SMEs, family firms, competitiveness, sustainability, cooperation, and cluster policy. She participates in the Doctoral Program 'Business and Territorial Competitiveness, Innovation and Sustainability' and contributes to the 'Competitiveness and Economic Development' research team funded by the Basque Government.

Her teaching includes courses such as Business I, Business Policy I, and External Analysis. She has developed case studies on family firms and explored succession strategies in SMEs. Notable research themes include the role of family social capital in transgenerational entrepreneurship, organizational ambidexterity in SMEs, and the impact of territorial contexts on business embeddedness.

Her work frequently addresses challenges in Basque and European SMEs, including innovation strategies during economic crises, cooperative dynamics, and the evaluation of cluster policies. She has also examined the historical resilience of businesses in the Basque region amid ETA-related violence.
