Craig Gotsman is a Distinguished Professor of Computer Science at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). He holds a Ph.D. (1991), M.S. (1985), and B.S. (1983) in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
His research focuses on computational geometry, geometric modeling, computer graphics, and algorithms for sensor networks. Notable contributions include methods for 3D point cloud processing, route optimization on road networks, and privacy-preserving data hiding techniques. His work bridges theoretical computer science with practical applications in medical imaging and multimedia systems.

His 2009 Most Cited Paper Award highlights impactful contributions to computer-aided geometric design.
