As a key contributor to the International DIPG Registry and RAPNO working group, he develops standardized assessment criteria that directly impact global clinical trial design and treatment protocols for pediatric brain cancers.
Dr. Erker has established innovative educational frameworks including monthly multidisciplinary team meetings for complex pediatric oncology cases, which serve as dynamic learning environments for trainees while improving clinical care coordination. His clinical philosophy emphasizes providing families with transparent information and compassionate support throughout the cancer journey, informed by both professional expertise and personal experiences with cancer in his family.
