Craig Bennett serves as a Lecturer for the Master of Science in Historic Preservation within the Richard A. McMahan School of Architecture at Clemson University's College of Architecture, Art and Construction.
His educational background includes:

- Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech (1978)
- B.S. in Architecture from Georgia Tech (1978)
As principal of Bennett Preservation Engineering, Mr. Bennett specializes in structural preservation of historic structures with deep expertise in historic masonry systems. His research focuses on mortar analysis, rebedding techniques, repointing methodologies, and stucco restoration for heritage buildings. Notable projects include structural stabilization of Cape Hatteras and Cape Lookout lighthouses for the National Park Service and conservation work at Drayton Hall National Historic Landmark.
He actively contributes to the Association for Preservation Technology through leadership roles and professional lectures on preservation engineering practices.
