Craig A. Kovitz, M.D., is a Professor in the Department of General Oncology and holds a joint appointment in the Department of Genitourinary Medical Oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. He specializes in treating solid organ cancers and benign/malignant blood disorders, emphasizing research-driven, compassionate care.
Dr. Kovitz graduated from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1997, completed residency in Internal Medicine at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center, and pursued fellowship training in Medical Oncology/Hematology at MD Anderson. He previously served as an attending internist and Associate Director of the Internal Medicine training program at Keelser USAF Medical Center. Notably, he helped establish and expand the MD Anderson Regional Care Center in the Bay Area.
He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and actively contributes to clinical trials at MD Anderson. His clinical and research focus aligns with advancing multidisciplinary cancer care delivery.
