Dr. Courtney Page-Tan is an Assistant Professor of Public Affairs & Community Resilience at Indiana University's O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Previously, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Computational Social Science at Wesleyan University (2019–2021) and earned her PhD in Political Science from Northeastern University in 2019.
Her research focuses on how communities leverage social capital, technology, and policy to enhance resilience against disasters, pandemics, and systemic stressors. Key areas include social media's role in disaster recovery, spatial analysis of urban resilience, and inclusive policymaking. She has collaborated with cities like Cambridge, MA, and organizations such as ISeeChange and the United Nations Development Programme.
