Courtney Angelosante serves as the PBIS Initiative Coordinator at the University of Maine’s College of Education and Human Development. She holds an M.S. in Educational Psychology from the University of Southern Maine (2011) and is ABD in Prevention and Intervention at the University of Maine. Her work focuses on challenging behaviors, inclusive education, and Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS).
She has coordinated a multi-year grant implementing PBIS in 15 Maine schools (2018–2021) and serves as PBIS coordinator for the state Department of Education. She represents Maine in the Northeast Advisory Group for PBIS and collaborates with over 35 schools through training and technical assistance programs. Her professional affiliations include regional/national organizations addressing school climate and behavioral practices.
Her publications explore teacher preparation, school policy implementation, and behavioral intervention strategies. She teaches graduate courses including Response to Intervention frameworks and behavioral management in special education settings.
