Costas Meghir is the Douglas A. Warner III Professor of Economics at Yale University, specializing in Development Economics, Econometrics, and Public Economics. He holds a Ph.D. from Manchester University and serves as a Fellow of multiple prestigious institutions. His research focuses on informal labor markets, family economics, human capital, and early childhood development (ECD), particularly through randomized controlled trials (RCTs) in developing countries and the U.S. He has contributed to designing cost-effective ECD interventions aimed at breaking intergenerational poverty cycles.
