Coskun Kocabas is a Professor of 2D Device Materials in the Materials Engineering department. He holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2007), following a BSc (2001) and MSc (2003) in Physics from Bilkent University (Turkey). His research focuses on optoelectronic applications of graphene and 2D materials, including device engineering, chemical synthesis, and light-matter interactions. He leads the Smart Materials and Devices group and contributes to the National Graphene Institute.
