Corrado Lattanzio is a Full Professor of Mathematical Analysis at the University of L'Aquila's Department of Information Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics. He obtained his PhD in Mathematics from the University of Roma "Tor Vergata" in 2000 after completing his Laurea cum laude in Mathematics at L'Aquila in 1995. His research focuses on hyperbolic partial differential equations, conservation laws, relaxation limits, and traffic flow modeling.
He has supervised multiple PhD students including Amelio Maurizi, Raffaele Folino, Delyan Zhelyazov, and Giada Cianfarani Carnevale. Professor Lattanzio received the Giuliano Sorani award from the School of Science at University of L'Aquila. He coordinates national research projects on nonlinear hyperbolic systems and serves as Managing Editor for Special Issues of Networks and Heterogeneous Media.
His recent publications explore quantum hydrodynamics, wave propagation in viscous systems, and metastability phenomena. Research trends show strong emphasis on mathematical physics applications, fluid dynamics modeling, and asymptotic analysis of nonlinear systems.
