Cornelia Caragea is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Kansas State University. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Iowa State University (2009) and a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Bucharest (1997). Her research focuses on artificial intelligence, machine learning, information retrieval, and natural language processing, with applications in privacy analysis and disaster response data. She has received prestigious awards, including the NSF CAREER Award and the 2014 Most Innovative Application of AI Award.
