Corinne Touret is a Senior Lecturer in Public Law at the University of Tours, affiliated with the Faculty of Law, Economics and Social Sciences. She directs the Master's Degree in Public Law, Law and Local Public Management, and oversees L1 Law studies. Her roles include chairing the VAE Law Jury, leading the Validation of Acquired Knowledge Commission, and participating in the Joint Disciplinary Scientific Commission (CSDP). She previously served as Vice-President of the Council for Studies and University Life (CEVU) from 2003-2008.
Her research focuses on decentralization, territorial governance, European Union law, and participatory democracy. She contributes to interdisciplinary legal studies through the Institute of Interdisciplinary Legal Research (IRJI, UR 7496). Her teaching spans administrative law, local authority law, inter-municipal partnerships, and collective projects at various academic levels.
Recent publications analyze territorial differentiation, EU law compliance in local governance, and institutional reforms for democratic renewal. She has collaborated on comparative studies between France, Poland, and the EU, particularly in the PHC Polonium Program. Her work reflects a commitment to balancing administrative modernization with democratic accountability.
