معرفی
Dr. Corinne Carle is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the John Curtin School of Medical Research (JCSMR), Australian National University. Her affiliations include membership in the Maddess Group, focusing on diagnostics for eye diseases. Her research emphasizes objective perimetry techniques for detecting visual dysfunction in conditions like glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetes-related retinopathy, multiple sclerosis (MS), and traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Her work integrates ophthalmology, neuroscience, and medical imaging to develop rapid, non-invasive diagnostic tools. Key areas include multifocal pupillographic perimetry (mfPOP), which assesses retinal and optic nerve health through pupillary responses. She has explored applications in early disease detection, monitoring treatment efficacy, and understanding neuro-ophthalmological mechanisms.
Publications highlight advancements in mfPOP’s diagnostic power across diverse pathologies, with studies demonstrating its utility in detecting functional changes before structural damage becomes apparent. Collaborative efforts with the Maddess Group aim to translate research into clinical practice, particularly in underserved populations and pediatric care.
