Corine FRISCHKNECHT

Corine FRISCHKNECHT is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Geneva and the Scientific Coordinator of the Certificate in Geological and Climate-related Risk (CERG-C). She holds a PhD in Sciences from the University of Geneva focusing on earthquakes, for which her thesis received the PLANAT Prize (2000). Her research integrates natural hazards with societal impacts, employing field data, numerical modeling, GIS, and remote sensing. She has extensive experience in disaster risk reduction programs, including roles in the International Decade for Disaster Risk Reduction (IDNDR) and the University's Master of Advanced Studies in Humanitarian Action.
