Corianne Rogalsky is the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Education at Arizona State University's College of Health Solutions and holds an Associate Professor position in the School of Life Sciences. She directs the Communication Neuroimaging & Neuroscience Lab (CoNi Lab), which investigates the neurobiology of language, music perception, and their interactions with attention, memory, and motor systems. Her work focuses on improving communication outcomes for individuals with post-stroke aphasia and cognitive impairments through neuroimaging-guided rehabilitation.
Education: Postdoctoral Researcher at University of California-Irvine (2011-2013), Postdoctoral Associate at University of Southern California (2008-2011), PhD in Psychology from University of California-Irvine (2008), MA in Social Science (2005), and BS in Biochemistry (2003) from Loyola Marymount University.
Research Interests: Neuroimaging techniques (fMRI, DTI) to study speech comprehension recovery in stroke patients and healthy aging populations. Current projects address optimizing language comprehension for stroke survivors and improving listening abilities in noisy environments for older adults.
Lab Affiliations: Member of the NIH-funded Multi-site Aphasia Research Consortium (MARC). Collaborates on studies using task-based fMRI and neuropsychological methods to explore aphasia and cognitive deficits.
Teaching & Advising: Supervises graduate students in neuroimaging research. Courses taught include Functional Neuroimaging of Language and Acquired Speech/Language Disorders. Advises students listed in publications.
