Corey Ford is a PhD researcher at Queen Mary University of London, affiliated with the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science. His research focuses on Artificial Intelligence for Supporting Musical Creativity and Engagement in Child-Computer Interaction. This project evaluates how AI-driven agents can adaptively support children's music composition through pedagogical feedback and engagement.
Corey's research interests include Human-Computer Interaction, Computer-Supported Education, Intelligent User Interfaces, and Machine Learning. His work integrates computational creativity with music technology to design tools like Codetta, a block-based digital interface for children's musical exploration.
His current objectives involve analyzing creativity patterns in child interactions, developing AI algorithms for adaptive tutoring, and evaluating engagement in educational settings. Technical expertise includes C++, audio programming, and NIME (New Interfaces for Musical Expression), with contributions to the Sonic Interaction Design theme in the Centre for Digital Music (C4DM).
