Corey Bregman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Tufts University, affiliated with the School of Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on geometric group theory, low-dimensional topology, and CAT(0) spaces, with additional interests in NPC cube complexes, right-angled Artin groups, and diffeomorphism groups of surfaces/3-manifolds. He holds a PhD from Rice University (2017) and a BA from Columbia University (2010).
Research Interests: Bregman explores the interplay between algebraic structures and geometric spaces, particularly through CAT(0) geometry and outer space for RAAGs. His work addresses questions in geometric group theory, including the study of Kähler groups and topological dynamics.
Teaching: He teaches advanced courses such as Algebraic Topology, Abstract Algebra, and Linear Algebra, and supervises graduate thesis work across Master’s and PhD programs. Recent courses include Algebraic Topology I/II and Graduate One-on-One Course.
