Cordell C. Davidson

Dr. Cordell C. Davidson is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at the University of South Alabama. He holds a PhD in Computing (2018) from the same institution, with a research focus on applying Moving Target Defensive Techniques to cyber-security of Programmable Logic Controllers. Earlier degrees include an MSCIS (2008, University of South Alabama) and a B.S.B.A. in Accounting (1982, University of Southern Mississippi).

His research interests span Cyber-security, Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence. Teaching responsibilities include courses such as CSC 532 Distributed Systems, CSC 440 Secure Software Engineering, and CSC 231 Data Structures in C++. He has been an Instructor at USA since August 2019, following a Post-Doctoral Fellowship there (Feb-Aug 2019).

Certifications include Certified Public Accountant (Virginia, 1989), Oracle Master Database Administrator (1997), and active memberships in IEEE, ACM, and Upsilon Pi Epsilon. He serves as an officer in the University of South Alabama Computing Alumni Association.
